Position Overview


Tutors needed in the following areas with support for practicum
  • Computer Tutor (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • Accounting and Payroll Administration (with experience in Sage and QuickBooks)
  • Business writing, career strategies and skills for success

The Tutor and Online Practicum Support contributes to student success by providing tutoring sessions to Bredin students in need.
  • Meet with students through virtual conferencing (MS Teams)
  • Assist student issues and questions asynchronous/synchronously via email and live chat
  • Work collaboratively with Student Services and Academic departments
  • Track attendance, participation and specific and common areas of tutoring provided
  • Ad hoc facilitate and evaluate online alternative practicum projects 

Hours of Work
  • 6-10 hours per week, over 2 or 3 days as needed
  • Flexible afternoons
  • Job is remote

Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in the area of tutoring and practicum support
  • Prior tutoring or instructional experience preferred
  • Excellent computer software proficiency relating to tutored subjects (MS Office Suite, Sage, QuickBooks)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Consultative and collaborative work style with strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
  • Experience in working with personal information and adherence to FOIP standards and applicable privacy regulations



Compensation

$25.00 - $27.00
